This is what it said about George Alvin Jumper, "He moved his family from Mississippi to Earlsboro, Oklahoma Territory, in 1904 and a year later, to Gerty. As he was 1/8 Choctaw Indian, he was given an Indian land allotment in Hughes County, Oklahoma, but it was subsequently taken from him because of a reputed lack of proof of his Indian blood."
