Hi Donna! I guess I should start by telling you that I'm not from Vanoss. My father, PJ Richardson, was from Vanoss (son of Ples and Lou Richardson). He was raised there and went to school at Vanoss school. His sisters and brothers are: Marie Richardson Alford (deceased), Flora Richardson Shumard (deceased), Helen Richardson Heath, Bernice Richardson Turner, Clark Richardson (deceased), Florence Richardson Webb (deceased), Ruby Richardson Gurley, Joe Richardson (deceased), Mary Lou Richardson Covert, Percy Richardson (deceased), and Margaret Sue Richardson Johnson. The sisters who are still living are in the Roff/Ada area. Aunt Bernice has a daughter, whose name escapes me, who (at one time) taught at Vanoss School. She may still be teaching there. I live in CA, and have all my life. I have visited the Ada area a couple of times. I recently started tracing my dad's history and have met so many kind, interesting people in the course of my research. Thank you for posting the photo...I hope someone recognizes themselves or someone they know and can get in touch.
