FORDYCE, one of enterprising farmers residing 3 1.2 miles northeast, was here buying supplies Saturday. J. B. HOWARD and family have moved from Steedman and he has opened a Singer Sewing Machine Agency. MRS. M. E. CRANFORD, the owner of several rich farms near Allen, subscribed to the newspaper. The three days old baby of Mr. and Mrs. ORB MCCALL died at the family residence in Allen Sunday morning and was laid to rest the same afternoon in the Allen cemetery. W. B. WHITLEY of Sasakwa came over Sunday and was looking over the building he and his brother are putting up here. P. L. HILL, one of the prosperous tillers of the soil living 3 miles northeast, was on our streets and subscribed to the paper. Correction We erred last week in stating that the baby of OSCAR LONG had died. It should have read ‘OSCAR LEE’s baby’ died.
