I understand before Grady was it's own county it belonged to Pontontoc County, so I am hoping someone can help me. Richard A. Brown born May 26, 1860 Kansas married a gal named Anne or Annie he died December 31st, 1936 Grady County, Laverty, Oklahoma Rosehill Cemetery He came to Grady in 1907, Hillsboro Township which is southwest of Chickasha. It contains the towns of Norge and Laverty. Children included May, Irene, Clara, John H., Elmer E., & Ernest K. I believe this HAS to be my great-grandmother Margaret Ann Brown's brother Richard A. Brown based on the year and place he was born. I ordered a death certificate which states father unknown - mother unknown. I don't know WHY they moved to Oklahoma or how where to look for more information about this Richard A. Brown to prove or disprove his is Margaret's brother.
