I am researching the William G. Jones family of Francis, OK. They relocated to Pontotoc County sometime after 1890 and before 1900. He also had two brothers that relocated at the same time, James Landy Jones and Thomas Richard (Dick) Jones. I have heard that in order to live in Indian Territory, that a permit had to be obtained. Is that correct? And if that is right, are they on file somewhere? I would be greatly interested in seeing their permit. Thanks Lynne
