Hello List- I am researching into Joe James and his family. From the Chickasaw nation chickasaw roll. it gives this family William James age 48 Annie James ( wife) 46 Mulbert 14 Daniel ( 9) Joe ( 6) son) The roll was taken in Pontotoc and in Stonewall Indian Ter. I am hoping to find where this family might be buried. Is there a indian cementery in Pontoctoc county or a Indian buriel ground. What i am hoping for is some birth and death vitals on Joe James. He was married to Gurtie( Lucy) Risenhoover, They had a daughter named Christine . Christine was born October 22, 1919 in Wapanucka and died March10. 1997 in Tishomingo. I am lost on finding the marriage of Gurtie and Joe James. Could their hav been a tribal marriage where a listing of the said marriage may have been recorded.? I would appreciate any help.
