When I was about 10, I was legally adopted by my step father. I have no need to see my original birth certificate as I have a copy and I stayed in touch with my biological grandmother until she died. Also, my biological father and my adopted father are both deceased. But, I have some questions. Can the original birth certificate be unsealed by a court order now? Also as an aside.. I have been working on a webpage for Lawrence OK and I have been comparing my memories to my Mother's. One of the new facts for me was that when I was born in Lawrence, one of the girls that worked in the office came to see me and bring a gift. Mother said she rocked me for about two hours. She told Mother that she had a baby girl once and that her father took it away right after she was born and that she didn't know what happened to it. Donna
