DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW ANY THING ABOUT THEM, OR WHERE I COULD TURN TO GET INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORPHANAGES? THE TIME PERIOD THAT IAM LOOKING AT IS ABT 1910-1913.     3. There was an Indian Orphans' Home in Atoka (Atoka County) for several years. The Murrow Indian Orphans' Home. Atoka County is South and East of Pontotoc County. I know very little about the Home other than it was one of the first exclusively for Indian children in the area. The Home was founded by J. S. Murrow and, I am guessing now, had to be approved by the Choctaw Nation and initially funded by religious donations, possibly Methodist or Baptist. Sorry, but I can't help more.
