Here's some more information that I have on Wises. My grandmother, Ada Mae Wise's parents were James Preston Wise and Ether Linda Elizabeth Bannister. James Preston was born Aug 22, 1856 in Marietta, Georgia and died June12, 1925 in Cleburne, TX. James Preston Wise's parents were Henry Wise and Sarah Anne Stewart. Henry Wise was born October 7, 1832 in Georgia and died Aug. 9, 1914 and is buried in Queen City, Texas. He was a confederate soldier. Henry Wise's parents were Wayne Wise and Susan Thompson. Wayne Wise was born about 1803 and was married Dec. 9, 1824 in Clarke County, Georgia. Wayne Wise's parents were John Patterson Wise and Mary (Polly) Lacy. They were married Sep. 14, 1802 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. John Patterson Wise's parents were Sherwood Wise and Sarah Patton. Sherwood Wise died in 1833. You might look in the counties I mentioned in Georgia for your Wise ancesters.
