I know they ran a cafe and lived around the Ada-Duncan, OK area. Their names were George William "Will/Willie" Hinton and his wife Tillie/Tootie/Willie Schumpert/Shempert/Shumpert. Tillie was pregnant and died during childbirth in 1905. She is buried somewhere in the Duncan-Ada, OK area. Will and his son William Baudie got into some kind of trouble with the law and had to serve 3 months on the "P Farm" (jail). He put his 3 daughters on a train and sent them back to Mississippi while he went to jail. Some say that Will and Baudie escaped from jail and returned to Mississippi. One of their daughters was named Annie and married a Bernie Estes. They had 3 daughters by the names of Beatrice, Juanita and Ruby. Annie died in Atwood, OK sometimes after 1950. Can someone help me lookup information on this family? I want to find where my great grandmother is buried. Or can someone check jail record! s for around 1905 for Will Hinton and son William Baudie Hinton. Please e-mail me at anniestephens@bellsouth.net
