Rebecca: New information: My grandmother is Mollie Caroline Fulton. Mollie Caroline Fulton's father's name is James Jackson Fulton, her grandfather's name is Samuel Clark Fulton. Mollie Fulton's mother's name is Elizabeth Antoinette "Nettie" Fullingim. James Jackson Fulton had a second wife after NEttie died. I don't recall her name though they did have children of their own. I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. I have been unable to make the exact connection...there is so much mis-information around. My ggrandfather is Thomas Almarine Birdwell, married to Emma Wheeler, His father was Thomas Garner, married to Rebecca Lipsey. Both of those men had more than one marriage, and that's where it gets sticky. Most of the info available has my grandfather, William Lawson as Thomas Riley Birdwell's son, but he was in fact a cousin or uncle...there was only a few years difference in their ages. Do any of these names ring a bell? I believe we are all related, there was just so darn MANY children having so darn many children. Keep in touch, maybe we can figure this out My ggrandfather was convicted of manslaughter in the early 1900's, the accounts are in the Ada evening news. I have never been able to find out if he actually served his sentence or when and where he died. The family kept it quiet. Contact me directly if you want. beverlybirdwell@msn.com. thanks

I've been trying to find a picture of him. I don't know if you know it or not but Billy, my cousin that was in touch with you, has since passed on. Most of Birdwells are buried in Vamoosa, Ok. cemetery. It's located on hwy. 99 about 15 miles north of Ada. How are you related? I'm Lloyd Birdwell's daughter. He also lives in Ada still. I live in Oklahoma City. I found some in Allen, Ok. cemetery also.

I do believe both churches are still going. You may want to contact the church and explain your situation, they may ask the congregation if they of the person/family you are looking for. Let me know and I can help. Also I would contact the Cherokee Nation in OK. They may be able to assist you. Good luck in your search, and let me know if I can be of assistance.
