Since she was living in or near Allen,OK, depending on the time frame, which it could be different, but I would check, that Allen Ok is "on the border" between the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nation service areas. It shows she is 23 yrs. born 1897 in Texas and is a roomer with the Rhedell, L family of Missouri. I can't read her parents birthplace, it is to fuzzy. Then in 1920 there is a six yr old born 1894 in Texas with parents James & Sarah of Missouri. Name: AMANDA ESTEP State: OK County: Gaines County Township: Choctaw Nation Year: 1860 Record Type: Federal Population Schedule Page: 1213 Database: OK 1860 Federal Census Index I hope this helps out, let me know if i can do anything else. Here's some more information that I have on Wises. My grandmother, Ada Mae Wise's parents were James Preston Wise and Ether Linda Elizabeth Bannister. James Preston was born Aug 22, 1856 in Marietta, Georgia and died June12, 1925 in Cleburne, TX. James Preston Wise's parents were Henry Wise and Sarah Anne Stewart. Henry Wise was born October 7, 1832 in Georgia and died Aug. 9, 1914 and is buried in Queen City, Texas. He was a confederate soldier. Henry Wise's parents were Wayne Wise and Susan Thompson. Wayne Wise was born about 1803 and was married Dec. 9, 1824 in Clarke County, Georgia. Wayne Wise's parents were John Patterson Wise and Mary (Polly) Lacy. They were married Sep. 14, 1802 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. John Patterson Wise's parents were Sherwood Wise and Sarah Patton. Sherwood Wise died in 1833. You might look in the counties I mentioned in Georgia for your Wise ancesters.

Elizabeth WISE married Benjamin WEST in either GA or SC, ca1820's. And a Phoeby WISE that married Robert Lydel Stephenson either in TX or Pontotoc Co. IT, ca1890's. Phoeby is buried at Egypt Cemetery in Pontotoc Co. Robert was my Grandfather's brother. My grandfather was Andrew Jackson Stephenson. My Grandmother was Jennie Wise (MULLINS) Stephenson. Her middle name came from the above Elizabeth, her grandmother. My mother's middle name was also Wise. I do not know if there was any connection between Elizabeth or Phoeby. Elizabeth died in GA, ca1875 prior to my Mullins and West's moving to Bosque Co. TX. They then moved to the Ada area about 1885. My grandmother was Ada Wise. She lived with her family in Pontotoc County during the 1920s. Her parents were James Preston Wise and Ether Linda Wise. They had 9 children...Henry, Lonny, Hilry, Emmitt, Press, George, Alma, Ether, and Ada. James Preston also had a brother, Billy Wise. The family was originally from Georgia, and moved to Texas in the 1890s. They were tennant farmers and lived in Pontatoc County for a few years in the 1920s. I have no idea when they moved to Oklahoma, his sister mary Polly Logan carver walker born in 1831 in north carolina and died in 1903 in ark was my grgrgrandmother, they had a brother named Zadock P Logan, and a sister named Mayberry. some more brothers but don't know their names. I have no idea how long they lived there, but do know he is buried there, where is wife and children went No one knows. thanks for the information. Leona smile, it ain't really that bad!`

    3. Leona: I have some Logan information (provided by a cousin) in conjunction with my Chandler database. I don't have a Jasper or Newton Logan. The Chandler's and Logan's were part of a wagon trail that left Alabama in the late 1840's. They settled in the southwest area of Arkansas, specifically Howard, Sevier, Pike and Hempstead Counties. My Chandler bunch moved to the Indian Territory in 1896 and settled in the Pontotoc County area. Don't know if this will help or not.     3. I am looking for any information regarding the family of Tommie Josephine Sutherland (?), born in Ada, Oklahoma on 17 Oct 1911. She married my father, Teddy Worthington, and they had four children. Mary Rose b. 1928 in Los Angeles, CA. Donald b. 1930 in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. Dorothy Jean b. 1932 in Los Angeles, CA Lester Thomas b. 1934 in Los Angeles, CA. Tommie, Mary Rose, Donald, and Lester were all the victims of a drunk driver on the evening of 12 June 1942 and Dorothy lived until 14 September 1992. All of them died and are buried in the greater Los Angeles area. If anyone can give me any information of the Sutherland's and Worthington's I would be grateful.
