Some of the Hooser family came in the 1880's to Old McGee, and later Francis. The Bakers came earlier I think. St.Vrains were from Missouri. My Uncle Newton Jasper Cole married Etta Blevins and there was a Ward who also married a Blevins. The siblings (sons) of these marriages (cousins) reside in Texas.

    3. Hi Is there any one who could look up an obit for me? Thomas Luther Stevens died on May 12, 1953 in Oklahoma City but he was a resident of Ada and is buried in Rosedale Cemetery in Ada. He was visiting someone in Oklahoma City and was hit and killed by a car. I am trying to find info on his brothers. Thank you in advance Sondra

The two people I am looking for apprently do not have headstones on their graves and therefore their names do not appear on the Cedar Grove on-line list. I've tried contacting Cedar Grove via the telephone, but no one answers. Could there be another list of names with the Dept of Vital Records? Can you think of any other organization that may have a listing? My great great grandmother, Martha Gibson, buried in Cedar Grove Cemetary. She died around ~1919. I also have a great Aunt, Sarah Francis "Frankie" Gibson, who is buried there as well. She died in the late 1920's. Apparently, there are no headstones for either of their graves and neither of their names appear on the Cedar Grove on-line list of deceased.

And are you sure Chadwick is the correct spelling of the last name? The reason I ask is because my maiden name is Chaddick and in my research of the name I have discovered that some of the families were related to each other, but used different suffixes for the name. Anyway, it is rumored that my grandfather had a sibling named Jessie, but no one knows that much about him or her. Your Jessie would have been born in the right time frame to be my grandfather's sibling. My granddad was born in 1896 and that would have made Jessie an older sibling. My grandfather also died in Ada, OK, but in 1971. I'm sorry I don't know much more about my grandad's family, but I was a baby when he died and I didn't get the chance to know him or his siblings. If you think there might be a link between my family and your Jessie Chadwick, please let me know and I will send you the information I do have.
