Posted on: Pontotoc County Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Pontotoc/868 Surname: Cole, Salmon, Massengale, McGraw, Ward, Hall ------------------------- The Coles of Ponotoc County, George Washington Cole 's father was Hiram Cole, the 1850 Arkansas census listed George as being born in Tennessee. His date of birth.(05/18/1822). My research indicates no "David's" in this line. Hiram's birth place has been listed as Va. but I cannot validate this at present. The Coles had very large extended families. George Washington Cole was married twice, his first wife unknown and daughters died. He married Rebeckah Massengale and lived in Arkansas until he died.

Posted on: Pontotoc County Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Pontotoc/862 Surname: Jarrett ------------------------- I am also attempting to make a connection to the Jarretts from the St.Francis county/ Colt, Arkansas area. My husband's great great grandfather, Henry (Hezekiah?) or H.H. Jarrett was married to Celia Cowan. They had three children: John, Beatrice and Myrtle. When Celia passed away, Henry remarried and started a new family. The three adult children from the first marriage disapproved of the second marriage and moved away from the Colt area sometime around 1914-1916, completely losing touch with their father and his new family. John, married to Modena Bonds- also of the Colt area, moved his family to McGehee, Arkansas. There is still a large family of Jarretts in the McGehee/Dumas area. Some of them would love to finally make contact with the "missing" side of their family. Do my Jarretts connect with your family? Thanks. Sheila Jarrett

There is no chance of acquiring a virus from the choctaw-web site; the virus --- which several people have said does not appear on their anti-virus scans, --could be a hoax or activated by replying to email or opening an attachment that says: "The Real Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" sent by SexNFun.
