Richard married first in Exeter to Ella Cornelia BARNES 1857-1889, dau of Porter Philander BARNES and Luana Clarinda WILLIS of WI then NE. Richard married second in NE or OK between 1891 and 1896 "Mrs. IRVINE." Richard who engaged in the mining industry and Mrs. IRVINE may have had his three sons by Ella with them in Ottawa: Frank Lester TAYLOR b 1880; Harry Morton or Merten TAYLOR b 1882 and Roscoe Willis TAYLOR b 1887.
