Born January 19, 1913, in Fairland, OK, Bill was a resident of Kerman since 1981. A retired Lumber Mill Mechanic, Bill was an avid fisherman and liked to hunt. He attended the 1st Freewill Baptist Church of Kerman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrle and a son, James. He is survived by a daughter, Janice Lea and her husband, Charles of Kerman. He is the grandfather of Ken Lea and his wife, Lyn of Hilmar CA, Keith Lea and his wife, Meet of Stevinson CA, Larry Detherage of Sacramento CA, Kerry Lea of Fresno, and Kim Kittoe and her husband, Larry of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Doreen Detherage of Stockton, CA, and eight great-grandchildren. The family extends a special thank-you to the staff of Willow Creek Care Center for their compassion and care during Bill's stay with them. Visitation will be held at Jay Chapel, Madera on Sunday, June 10, 2001, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be held at Jay Chapel on Monday, June 11, 2001, at 9:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
