I also have heard stories about the family being part Native American but no proof. Does the dob seem to fit your William Wallen? What part of Mo was your William and Mary Wallen from? Some of the people in my Wallen's had relationships with people from Ottawa Co. I am trying to determine if the James Wallen from Fairfield Ottawa Co that was killed in action in WWI was also part of the family.
