What a New Year's gift! I don't know if these Guffeys will lead me anywhere or not but I am having a terrible time trying to straighten out my grandmother's family. I was reading my diary this winter and remembered after seeing it in print that my parents and I stopped in Fairland, OK in December, 1952. My father was searching for "cousins" --found them and visited for maybe twenty or thirty minutes. I don't remember even getting out of the car though. Aren't diaries wonderful? My grandmother's brother had a son, John who was supposedly 1 in the 1880 census. I did another search over the holidays and discovered Clifford Guffey's death. Now if I could just find some of his living relatives.......... Thank you again for giving me new hope with a lengthy brick wall.
