Sammye: I noticed the other day that you answered a lady with a lookup for some children in a Picher school. I'm not sure if I contacted you before, but I am looking for a child of a great uncle of mine that may have gone to a school in Picher, OK. My great Uncle's name was Carl Henry Wiman (may have been spelled Weiman, or Weman or even Wieman). He married a lady by the name of Ruby (Henderson). They supposedly had a child - a son - I don't have a name or an exact date. "Henry" was working in the mines in Picher around 1924 - so I was wondering if you had anything on a boy with the last name of Wiman (or any of the spellings above). Jan, I ran through my books again and do not find either spelling. However, I did find some Wyman in the Baxter Springs cemetery. Wyman, unnamed, March 1, 1918? Picher, OK Lloyd Feb 23 1918 Roy Feb 23 1918, Picher, OK 3 children (no names) lot 13, 2nd Tear, graves #4-5-6 These burials are in the Beasley Cemetery, a Mennonite cemetery. I didn't find even this spelling any place else, keep in mind, my personal library is rather limited.
