I always knew him as Jack Couch (no middle name) but recently the story of his name at birth being Frederick Jack Couch has been passed around and I need to confirm this one way or the other. I have also been told that he had an Indian heritage but have been unable to confirm that as well. If you can help with either of these issues please write to me. Jackie, R. Couch had two sons in the Picher, Ottawa County Schools 1916-1918; John, born: 7-24-1899 and Joe, born 2-2-1902. When a family has a tribal affiliation the census shows the tribe, if the school dist. knew of it.
