Hi Again, I didn't think before I sent my last posting, but my Mother's best friend was Josie Cotter! I will print out your letter and read it to her in the morning.....will see what all she can tell you about the names that you mentioned. My Mother and Father both grew up in that area. My Fathers name was Passley, my Mother's Grant. My Fathers family had a little farm outside of Wyandotte, my Mothers family had grocery stores........at one time in Miami, and at another time, in Wyandotte. My cousin, Jane Grant Watts was best friends with Susan Cotter. She recently sent me a photo with a grown up Susan in it. I think Susan was a niece of Josie! I will be back in touch after I have had a chance to discuss this all with my Mom tomorrow. The Tades that I knew, Jess L. Tade and wife Pearl were the salt of the earth. The nicest people you would ever want to meet. I was very close to them. I am excited to have picked up your letter and look forward to hearing from you again. Til Later, Kay in Ca
Hi Ruth Ann, My family is from Wyandotte and Miami Oklahoma! I have heard my parents speak of the Gees all my life AND my favorite Aunt and Uncle were Pearl Passley Tade and Jess Tade! I have forwarded your letter to my Uncle, Ray Passley, who grew up in the Wyandotte area and am going to print out your letter and read it to my Mom.I will see if any of the names that you mentioned are familiar to her. I think my Uncle Jess Tade's Father died when he was quite young and that his Mother then married a man by the name of Brashears (I think). I will double check all of this with my Mother, she grew up back there too and is now 85. Hopefully, we can find some connections for you. I can send photos of my Uncle and Aunt if we find there are connections. Isn't this exciting! Til Later, Kay in Ca

The book gives very scant info but the only other Rose in the same section of the cemetery is Dorothy M. Rose, 1972. I hope this helps. Dema (and others out there) You would probably enjoy owning the book "The History of Ottawa County" published in 1983. It is an incredible tome (584 large pages) that is full of local history and contains a lot of family history and genealogy, mostly of pioneers who's family still lives there. I believe it costs $50.00 and can be ordered through the Ottawa County Genealogical Society or the Dobson Museum. It is one of the resources I check for this list. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
