I have been having trouble with my home computer so I have missed a lot of the posting on Schulter, etc. My great-grandfather, Robert Turner, owned a coal mine in Schulter. I believe it was old #9. I need info on his wife, Alice Jane Dawson. I have the names of her parents as Ruben and Jane Dawson. Robert supposedly came from England as an indentured servant in the late 1800's. In 1884, there was a petition signed in Red Fork trying to remove Robert because he was associating with memebers of the Cook Gang. He either married a Creek, Alie Jane Dawson, or hid out, because my grandfather, also named Robert, was born in 8/1885 in Okmulgee. If you have any info on any of the Turner's or Dawson's, please let me know.
