He died while visiting his daughter and family, James William Kyees and Alberta Mae (Stanley) Kyees in Wilson, Okmulgee Co., OK possibly around 1913. That same year the Kyees lost their house in a fire and a daughter, Ruby May Kyees, died from a head injury at the Wilson School. She was hit in the head with the swing. Henry Stanley and Ruby Kyees are buried in the Wilson Cemetery, however the headstones are gone.
