Hi, I would like to let you know about a new Rootsweb program that will greatly reduce the time it takes for you to view posts made to the GenConnect boards. In the past, I have saved all posts made to the boards during the week, and then sent them altogether to the list on the weekends when I had more time. Starting today, all posts will be sent directly to the mailing list, via the new 'Gateway' system. This is the announcement from Rootsweb: "GenConnect boards can now be "gatewayed" to mailing lists. When a board is gatewayed to a mailing list, every message posted to the GenConnect board will be forwarded to the corresponding mailing list. The message sent to the list will contain the URL of the specific post to allow the list subscribers to respond directly to the message. In this manner, gatewaying will enable more effective communication between the mailing lists and the GenConnect boards." The following messages should be the last before the new program begins to reroute them. Vera Reeves was very busy today, so I divided the posts into 3 sets of 6 each! - --------------------------- New posts have been made to the Okmulgee Co. boards. To respond to these messages, or to post one of your own, please visit the GenConnect boards on the Okmulgee Co. webpage.... http://www.rootsweb.com/~okokmulg/okmulgee.htm Thanks, LaRae Boards admin. ==================== New Okmulgee Co.
