The Ball Brother's glass plant in Okmulgee comes to mind first. They made those famous Ball canning jars. There was a second glass plant in Okmulgee. It use to be American owned but some years before it shut down it was bought by a French company. I think the original name was American Glass Factory, later changed to American-Saint Gobaine, and that French spell is phonetic rather than literal !! I don't think either plant is operating today, although they are both still there. There are mounds of glass shards that really cast a beautiful light with the sun hits them. They were both going full blast when I live in Okmulgee during the 60's. Perhaps the library in Okmulgee could give you some answers to both your questions.
