What is your Stanley connection to Okmulgee Co. My husband's maternal line was Stanley: Arthur Owens Stanley born in TX around 1881 near Louisiana, moved to McIntosh Co when 10 or 11. Married Jessie Williams in Eufaula in 1907, moved first to Muskogee, then Okmulgee, eventually ending up at 909 Sioux Street with four boys, Chester, Donald, Vestal, ? and one daughter, Esther Stanley, my husband's mother. Jessie died about 1971 and is buried in Okmulgee Cemetery. Arthur died 1941, but we don't know where he's buried. Does any of it sound familiar? Ginger

He was born Henryetta,OK on 8-18-1926. His father was Jeff Nordine, his mother, Pearl Brown. He never spoke much of his childhood in Oklahoma, or his family. He did have brothers and sisters, all born in Henryetta as well. Unfortunately, he passed away withoput revealing much of his past. My mothers family say he was Native American, which may be possible hence the trouble finding records of his family. Any information that may be helpful dscovering my roots would be greatly apprecaited. Sincerely, Cindy Nordine

    3. Posted on: Okmulgee Co. Ok Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Okmulgee?read=484 Surname: Wilson ------------------------- Sheri: I don't know if this will help or not but in the 1920'-30's & 40's, William (Bill) Wilson and his family were "best friends" with mine. Bill and my Dad played on the Henryetta Baseball team for many years. His wife, Lucille Wilson was one of Mom's best friends. I think that Bill worked at The Eagle Pitcher Smelter, but can't remember for sure. During the 40's Lucille owned a little cafe on Main Street about the 700 block. They had two children; Phyllis was the oldest, b. c. 1928. I can't remember the boys name, but he was 2 or 3 years younger. Lucille was killed in a Traffic Accident in Missouri while they were on vacation in the late 40's or early 50's. I know I have a picture or two of them somewhere. Let me know if this helps.
