I am fortunate to live in the State of Washington where there is an organization called WARM (Washington Adoptees Reunion Movement). Below is their contact info - you might want to email them and ask if there is a similar organization for Oklahoma, specifically the Lawton (Comanche County)area. Through a confidential intermediary assigned by WARM I was able to (for a $100.00 fee) get copies of my adoption file which contained all the adoption paper work filled out by both my birth mother (which included my supposed birth father's name) and my adoptive parents giving me all sorts of information to follow up on. I was able to meet some of my biological family - no, it wasn't a "warm fuzzy", believe me. However, I did find information that began to fill that void in my life as to who I came from.
