It was on the far left side of the page, crinkled & stretched. In other words, a little harder to locate & not anywhere near the other obituaries or death listings. Here is the transcription: The Daily Oklahoman 05-24-1922 p.5/20 Bulkley Funeral Set for Thursday Funeral services for Mrs C G Bulkley, 77 years old, and mother of G S Bulkley, president of the Kerr Dry Goods company, will be held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at her home, 425 West Seventeenth street. Mrs Bulkley died at 5 o'clock Tuesday morning. She is survived by her husband, her son and her daughter, Mrs Edith Lutz, and seven grandchildren, all of whom reside in the city. She came to Oklahoma City two and a half years ago and since that time has made her home here. For several years she resided at Guthrie, Okla. It was not mandatory, however, that these records be filed until 1917. Because death records were not required in years past as they are today for identification, the filing process in many years prior to 1940 are sketchy. It is the responsibility of the hospital or the funeral director in each matter of death to properly obtain the information needed and file the certificate in a timely manner.
