The Transylvania Genealogy Group (Transylvania County NC) is working to get the news out that just over 100 copies remain of the new county heritage book, "The Heritage of Transylvania County, North Carolina Vol II." The book has enjoyed remarkable advance sales, far higher than expected, and equally high post-publication sales. The book is soon to be out of print. The genealogy group has no plans to do a reprint. Volume II of the Transylvania heritage book is twice the size of volume I and features 846 individual articles, including 58 articles detailing the general history of the county, 215 articles honoring county veterans from the Rev. War to the present, and a huge family history section featuring 573 articles on local families. The "full name" index alone is 28 pages!
