The Daily Oklahoman 06-25-1945 p.1 Motorcycle Rider Hits Car, Pelvis Fractured Paul Victor Determan, 25, of 1907 SW 11, suffered a fractured pelvis Tuesday night when his motorcycle collided with an automobile driven by Charley Goble Scott, 56, of 802 SW 26 at 4 and N Pennsylvania. Determan and his wife Maxine, 21, riding on the rear seat of the motorcycle, were taken to University hospital. Mrs Determan was released after minor abrasions were dressed. *************************** The Daily Oklahoman 02-07-1947 p.13 Charlene Dykes Become Bride of Boyd E. Scott In a ceremony January 25 in Capitol Hill Baptist church Miss Charlene Dykes, daughter of Mr and Mrs Lee R. Dancy, 1132 1/2 NW 29, became the bride of Boyd E. Scott, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Scott, of 802 SW 26. Rev. Hugh R. Bumpas, pastor, read the nuptials. Preceding the ceremony Miss Evelyn Hutchinson, organist, played nuptial music and accompanied Mrs Jim Jewell who sang several numbers. Miss Helen Dykes, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a powder blue suit with black accessories and her corsage was of amellias. Richard Durkee, Moore, served as best man. Ushers were Charles Arnold jr., and Joe Brezny, Prague. Miss Faye Sullivan and Miss Iris Talley were candlelighters. The bride wore a gray-blue suit with a blue ostrich feather hat and black accessories. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and white sweetpeas. Following the ceremony Mrs L W Ray, 122 SW 28, aunt of the bride, was hostess at a reception. Mrs Arnold served the cake and Mrs J D Shaw presided at the punch bowl. Miss Sullivan had charge of the guest book. Mr and Mrs Scott have established a home at 1132 1/2 NW 29. She attended Capitol Hill highschool and was graduated from highschool in Houston.
