Wayne was born September 30, 1961 to Wayne Eugene and Morna Baker in Oklahoma City. Wayne attended Choctaw High School and was a graduate with the Class of 1980. He loved his Choctaw heritage and was proud to be a citizen of the great community. Wayne worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 24 years as a toolmaker. He was a loyal employee and greatly enjoyed his time at work. He forged a wonderful camaraderie with 'the guys' at work and became close friends with many of them. That's the type of person he was. Wayne was easy to talk to and loved the fellowship and company of good friends. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, and spending quality time at the lake. All these events were centered around his friends, but all his friends new of his favorite toy, his 1956 Ford Truck. The friends Wayne was close to were of great importance to him, but his ! family came first. He was a twin, the oldest by a mere 3 minutes. He always said, 'I am older and wiser and don't forget it.' He loved to joke and give his brother a hard time. He enjoyed two loves in his life. The first was his pride and joy, Shelbi. She was his only child and he was glad to give her all the attention. The second was Shelbi's daughter, Violet. She could make her 'Pa-Pa's' heart melt. Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, Morna Baker; and grandparents, Chester Wayne & Ruby Baker. Wayne leaves behind to cherish his memories, his father, Wayne Eugene Baker; 1 daughter, Shelbi Mullinax and husband Justin, Blanchard; fianci, Denise Hunter, Choctaw; 1 brother, Terrill Wyatt Baker, Texas; 2 sisters, Sally Perry and husband James, and Susan Baker, all of Seminole; 1 precious grandchild, Violet Cobb-Mullinax; 3 nieces, Johni Dawn Adkisson, Ashley Baker, Chastity Baker; 2 nephews, Nick Baker & Cody Baker; and several friends. Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, Mar! ch 30, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Choctaw under the direc! tion of Hibbs Funeral Home. Published in The Oklahoman on 3/29/2007.
