Their website is http://www.ok-history.mus.ok.us/. City directories could probably help narrow down a date of death. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kate Sowdon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2005 4:48 PM Subject: [OKCo.] Photos and death dates > Evening, folks...I'm putting together a hard-copy genealogy to send to > a couple of family members and I'd like to include some old photos of > Oklahoma City; their part of the family arrived there about between > 1900-1910 and I > would love to show them what it was like there when their ancestors > arrived. > Does anyone have any suggestions? > > My second question is about finding a death date.... Kate, The State Library in OK City has a very good collection of City Directories. I don't know how early the archives has for photos but they had a photographer during the depression that took literally hundreds, if not thousands, of photos of OK City during the 1930's. Jane Webb Fort Bragg, CA
Just click on that link below for the OHS. You can send them an e-mail letting them know what you need and they should be able to help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kate Sowdon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2005 8:16 PM Subject: RE: [OKCo.] Photos and death dates > Thanks so much for the suggestions...can you point me in the direction of > a > good source for city directories? > > Any help appreciated...thanks for taking the time to help me uot... > > Regards, > Kate Sowdon > > -----Original Message----- > From: Pamela F.
