Mrs. Burgess was a resident of OKC since 1943. She was a homemaker, member of Capitol Hill United Methodist Church, a life member of UMW, Chancel Choir, Fellowship Class, XYZ, and past president of the American Legion Auxilary Unit 13. She is survived by her husband, E.R. Burgess of the home; two daughters, Dody Shumate of OKC, Wanda F. Hashbarger of Dallas; five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to Capitol Hill Methodist Chancel Choir or XYZ Bus Fund. Services 10 am Monday, Capitol Hill United Methodist Church, interment Mt. Olive Cemetery, Ft. Supply, OK.
