    1. Lincoln Park Monument, OK City
    2. I have a newspaper article from 1938 that describes a proposed monument to the Grand Blvd park system that was going to be placed "on the highest point in Lincoln Park near the park's new north entrance off the boulevard." The monument was to include four bronze plaques. One of these was to honor the people who donated the land for the park system, which included my husband's g-grandfather, John Eckroat. My question: Does anyone know if the monument was ever actually created, and does it still exist today? I might be making a to OK City next summer, and that's something I'd love to check out! -- Cherie Atkinson Clark [email protected] http://members.aol.com/chersfmly/ http://journals.aol.com/chersfmly/geniejournal/ **There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.
