    3. If you know the name of the Funeral home that handled the services, you can get in touch with them and they keep records on file. Obits listed in the newspapers are on file at the Oklahoma Historical Bldg in Ok. City and is complicated to get a copy, plus, they charge you for searching and copying. The phone numbers for the Funeral homes in Shawnee are:Gaskills-Owens1-405-275-0371, Resthaven Funeral Home, 1-405-275-2200, Walker Funeral Home, 1-405-273-4700.     3. Funeral homes now won't give out survivors of the deceased now because of the privacy act. I called one funeral home in OK and they would not give me any information.Now where can you get obits from other then the paper and they charged or most of them do.     3. You can always try writing a letter and asking the funeral home to forward the letter to the survivors. Of course, pre-stamp and address it as far as you can and then they can just write down address and put it in the mail.
