"LIEUT. CHARLES L. M'BRIDE Memorial services for Lieut. Charles L. McBride, who was listed missing in action in Korea in May 1952 and was reported dead last May, will be at ? p.m. in St. Luke's Methodist Church. A native of Oklahoma City, McBride was a graduate of Central High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. He served 41 months with the air force during World War II, and was called back to service in March, 1951. Lieut. McBride was making his 47th reconnaissance mission over Korea when his plane was disabled by ground fire, and crashed into a mountain in enemy territory. Surviving are his wife, Alice and two sons, Michael and Stephen, all of 3120 Fairfield; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed L. McBride of 2115 NW 15; a sister, Mrs. Thelma McFerron of Amarillo, Texas; and his grandmother, Mrs. Berta Riley of Oklahoma City."
