Died Friday, Dec 4, 1981, after an extended illness. She was born March 12, 1894 in Indian Territory. She moved to OKC in 1934 from Leedey, OK. Mrs. Felmet had owned and operated Apt houses in OKC for a number of years & was a long-time member of Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter, Murray Jones & beloved son-in-law Ervie Jones of the home. A son, Gerald Felmet of OKC. A granddaughter Marlene Powers of Vero Beach, Calif. 2 grandsons, Philip Jones of the home and Frank Jones of Venezuela, S.A. She is also survived by a great grand daughter and great grandson. Services will be at 10 am Monday in the Guardian Funeral Home, Midtown Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family has designated the Delia Wade Felmet Memorial Fund at Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church as appropriate for expressions of sympathy.” NOTE: I typed this just as it appeared. From the “Daily Oklahoman”, Oklahoma City, 21 Jul 1998, p50: “FELMET- Geneva Wilson, 81, passed away July 18, 1998, after a long illness. Survived by her children, John Wilson and Loretta Hullinger, and grandchildren, Jared Wilson, and Sarah and Jesse Hullinger, and many nieces and nephews. Geneva Seba was born in Illinois Aug. 21, 1916 and spent her youth in Leedey, OK. She attended nursing school and married Howard Wilson in 1937. During WWII, she worked as a civil defense worker in Providence, RI. Returning to OKC in 1945, she worked as a medical assistant to her brother Chester Seba, M.D., for most of her professional career. She was a member of Ridgecrest Church. Widowed in 1967, she married Gerald Felmet in 1977 and was widowed again in 1993. She had a deep appreciation of nature, enjoying her garden and the birds and squirrels she fed in her yard. Services will be held Wed., July 22, at 1 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.” From the “Daily Oklahoman”, Oklahoma City, 9 July 1953, p7: DIVORCE PETITIONS – Faye Ruth vs. Gerald Felmet From the “Daily Oklahoman”, Oklahoma City, 23 Aug 1956, p6: DIVORCE PETITIONS – Merle vs. Gerald Felmet From the “Daily Oklahoman”, Oklahoma City, 10 Mar 1938, p10: “FRANK EMERSON – Funeral services for Frank Emerson, 22 years old, 509 North Shartel avenue, who died Wednesday at St. Anthony hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Hunter funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Leedey. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois Emerson, and a daughter, Marlene, 2 ½ years old, of the home address; his mother, Mrs. Adelia Felmet; one brother, Murray Emerson, and a half-sister (??) Gerald Felmet, all of 618 Northwest Third street; two half-brothers, Carlton Felmet, Kelly Field, Texas, and Clovis Felmet, Ector, Texas.”
