My mother was sent to a girls "school" about 1940 when she was 13.They lived near Tinker Field outside Oklahoma City.She said the scool was large with girls of all ages and many problems.In the 30's and 40's handling a runaway with serious mental health issues was delt with by locking her up.She remaned there until she was 18.Some of the stories she told about that place were pretty bad.     3. I'd like to have contact with any descendant of John Jackson Graves. He was born in 1863 in McCracken Co., Kentucky and moved to Union City, OK about 1928 with his wife, Sallie GAYNOR and several children. I have his obituary and need to chat with family members as the names on the obituary don't match what I have as his children. I do know these children's names: Ed, Ruth, Myrtle, and Ownie. The family tree on Roots web/ancestry.com is mine. I don't know if my sister would have a Social Security card or not. I don't know if those were legally to be assigned at birth or not during those years. I did not quite understand where the info on the Dee A. Mcconnell you mentioned is. I have thought about getting a death certificate, but you have to have the date of death to do that. And since I don't have that, that is rather useless for me. I am 52 years old, and had 2 brain surgeries in May 2006 for blood clots and won TIA stroke. The neurologist said that within a year or two timeline I will have a major stroke, which is why I would really like to see if she is still alive or not. My mothers parents, Walter Harry & Mildred Elizabeth Wallace were supposed to be notified of her death, but never were and they are both dead. I desperately need to see if she is alive or not. I live in arizona and cannot physically go to Oklahoma anymore to view state death records. Can anyone help me??? I would like to know if she is still alive before i die. Thank you for any help!!!!!!
