    3. I know what you mean. It's a far piece from California too. When my son was living in OK I got to spend quite a bit of time doing research. You might try finding the library on-line and seeing if they would do a look-up for you. They used to be pretty good about it. They keep all of the directories right under the counter in the front. They are easy to use. Jane Webb

    3. My suggestion for the photos would be the Oklahoma Historical Society. Their website is http://www.ok-history.mus.ok.us/. City directories could probably help narrow down a date of death. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kate Sowdon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2005 4:48 PM Subject: [OKCo.] Photos and death dates > Evening, folks...I'm putting together a hard-copy genealogy to send to a > couple of family members and I'd like to include some old photos of > Oklahoma > City; their part of the family arrived there about between 1900-1910 and > I > would love to show them what it was like there when their ancestors > arrived. > Does anyone have any suggestions? > > My second question is about finding a death date.... 3. Kate, The State Library in OK City has a very good collection of City Directories. I don't know how early the archives has for photos but they had a photographer during the depression that took literally hundreds, if not thousands, of photos of OK City during the 1930's. 3. Evening, folks...I'm putting together a hard-copy genealogy to send to a couple of family members and I'd like to include some old photos of Oklahoma City; their part of the family arrived there about between 1900-1910 and I would love to show them what it was like there when their ancestors arrived. Does anyone have any suggestions? My second question is about finding a death date.... I believe Lewis R. Persons died in Oklahoma City between 1930-1940 (he was born 1864 in Ohio). Where can I look for a death date? Any help on these sure would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read my quest. Have a nice night, y'all!!! regards, Kate Sowdon [email protected]

    3. I am trying to trace the following people who were in Boone Township in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma in 1910. I have the census record. W. F. Stone returned to Virginia and I have records for him. His wife, Fannie, apparently died. I believe they were married in Texas, but I have not been able to find the actual record. Could someone check for an obituary for her? Their children have also been lost, scattered, whatever, but I can find no trace of them. William T. Stone, born July, 1891 Ambrose Stone, born Feb., 1892 (?) May possibly have been blind. Edna Stone, born Oct. 1897 Myrtle Stone, born Apr., 1900 All the children were born in Texas. I do know that Myrtle married a Mr. Cochran and was living in Oklahoma in 1939. Any help anyone can give me on this people will be most appreciated. Thank you. If you can't find an address, I'll try the phone # anywho shows. Thanks for your help! Ann

What exactly would you like to know? Married to a Joe Quinn in the early 50's, divorced sometime later, apparently took back her maiden name and was still living in OKC as of 2003. I will dig a little deepter and post later.

Surnames: Richardson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YaB.2ACI/1393 Message Board Post: Looking for any information on Phylis Earlene RICHARDSON. She was reportedly daughter of Florence Richardson. Placed for adoption six days after birth, joined a family at 20 days, and adopted about age two. I do not have her adoptive family name nor date of birth. She was an adult, living in 1968, and reported that her birth was recorded at the Oklahoma County Court House. She spelled her first name "Phylis" and used birth surname, even though apparently legally adopted. Any suggestions welcome.

    3. I think it was sometime in the 70s it changed. When I was dating my future wife, the zip was 73060. At some point it changed to 73160. All the zip codes that start with 731 are branches of the Oklahoma City Post Office. For instance Del City is 73135 and Midwest City is 73110. However Bethany has it's own post office. It is 73008.
