SInce this is a statewide paper, death notices also cover most of the outlying communities. I wold guess he did not die in Oklahoma after all. Good luck.
Is there anyone who researches in Oklahoma county that would check on a marriage for me? On the 1910 census, I find a RODNEY L. LUCIUS of Oklahoma City with a wife of 4 years listed only as "A" In 1920, Rodney is listed as a widower. Trying to find out who the bride was and what may have happened to her. Thanks very much! No Ernest (assume he is already in OKC??) There is a Mahaska County book online at Ancestry that has a bio of Elmer as he was related (son??) to a former Governor of Iowa. It confirms Elmer and Margaret had two sons, Ernest and Harry. I will re-check for wedding or death announcements, but there was a US Ambassador to Germany named James Gerard that dominates the papers during that period and, unfortunately, the search won't let me exclude him.
