Funeral homes now won't give out survivors of the deceased now because of the privacy act. I called one funeral home in OK and they would not give me any information. Now where can you get obits from other then the paper and they charged or most of them do. You might be better off trying to get an obit which will tell in most cases the survivors and that way you can find living people if a recent obit or if an old obit trace these people through directories. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marjorie Cummings" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, August 26, 2005 10:27 PM Subject: Re: [OKCo.] Request for newspaper info. You can always try writing a letter and asking the funeral home to forward the letter to the survivors. Of course, pre-stamp and address it as far as you can and then they can just write down address and put it in the mail.
