Like a dunce I made a copy of the people without copying the top portion of the page and then sent the film back to Heritage Quest. It is Heritage Quest film number 0059093, T623-1845. It is from one of the Indian forms, because it has the degree of Indian blood and the Cherokee names. The copy I made contains line 21 through 39. Dwelling 51, Family 51, Farm #34 Line 21 Benge, Samuel, head, Indian, male, Jan 1832, age 68, married 30 years, etc. Line 22 Nancy, wife, Indian, female, Feb 1845, age 53, married 30 years, etc. Line 23 Theodore, son, Indian, male, Mar 1875, age 25, married 0 years, etc. Line 24 Cora, D-in-law, white, female, Feb 1880, age 20, married 0 years, etc. Line 25 Jennie, daughter, Indian, female, Feb 1882, age 18, single, etc. Line 26 Coon, Burdnid, servant, white, male, Jan 1880, age 20, single, etc. In Dwelling 53 there is another family of Benges. They are Samuel, Sally, Carrie, and Samuel. All Cherokee and related to the Benges in dwelling 51, I believe, but no proof. While I am asking for help - does anyone know either of these families? Thank you in advance. Your help will be very much appreciated. Ms. Cecil V.
