    2. 14 jul 1892 Obituary- died in this city, Sunday morning, after an illness of two weeks, Mrs Hattie PORTER, wife of Gen. Pleasant PORTER. She was born in the Cherokee Nation near Claremore, August 18, 1861. Her maiden name was BERTHOLF. She was married here at the Presbyterian School May 26, 1886. She has a little girl three years old. {Large story of her work with the Creeks and Cherokees} Webbers Falls- Mrs Susan LYNDER looses a fine new barn to fire. Married- James S. DAVENPORT, a young Muskogee lawyer, married Tuesday evening to Miss Gulielam ROSS, of Tahlequah. Miss Ross is a niece of Governor ROSS. The bride and groom left for St Louis Mr G.J. MACKEY, from near Vann's Ford on teh Verdigris, brought in an unusual wagon load of prehistoric bones that he discoverd about 18 feet undersoil. Died- Bert GOULD, ten year old son of Mr GOULD, M.K. & T. yard sweeper, died when he slipped trying to board an incoming train.
