    2. 15 nov 1888 Mr W.H. PHELPS, of Beaver City, Neb came to find out the particulars of the death of C.L. SCOTT, young man killed by the cars at this place some six weeks ago. He is the brother in law to SCOTT and will take the remains to Nebraska where his mother and sisters still reside. PHELPS intends to find the wife of Mr SCOTT and provide for her in case she needs assistance. 22 nov 1888 Died- Nov 13th at the residence of Dr CALLAHAN, of consumption, Katie, infant daughter of W.B. & Katie D. ROGERS, age 18 months 31 jan 1889 Will DENIS and brother, formerly of this place have permanently settled in Little Rock, Arkansas 14 feb 1889 Died- John McALLISTER, the deputy marshall, shot by Charles STEIN, at Purcell, a short time since, died at 8 oclock Sunday evening Wagoner- on the 6th inst. at the parsonage, Rev. R.C. PARKS officiating, George E. JAHN to Alice L. JOHNSON, both of Ft Smith. Their future home will be in Muskogee. 21 feb 1889 Mrs S.W. MARTSON, left for Ft Worth where she goes to live iwth her son, Edgar, temporarily. Mrs Martson will be remembered by our older citizens as the graceful dispenser of the hospitalities of the Agency when the later Mr Martson was Indian Agent at this point some 12 years ago. Mrs SHIRLEY, the grandmother of Pearl YOUNGER, visited the STARR Ranch in hopes of inducing Pearl to make her future home at Dallas, the residence of Mrs Shirley.
