    2. 16 jul 1926 John BENTON and family have moved to Wewoka. John was a resident of Boynton some eight years and was City Marshal, Superintendent of Water Works, and Deputy Sheriff. 23 jul 1926 Mrs Wm. SWINK, of Henryetta, is visiting relatives here. 30 jul 1926 Mr SPARKS, who has been located in Okmulgee for the past twenty years, has taken over the Felts Barber shop and moved his family to this city. Mrs Delila ALLEN, Mr & Mrs John ALLEN and family, Mr & Mrs George ALLEN and son, Roy, drove to Prairie Grove, AR last Saturday to attend the funeral of Miss Nettie May WRITZ. Mr & Mrs WRITZ accompanied them home. A marriage of interest was that of Miss Katie COUCH, of Bristow, to Mr Phil BEATY, of Sallisaw, which occurred Sunday, July 17 6 aug 1926 Mrs M.B. LEASBURG received a message Tuesday stating that her brothers had been drowned while bathing in a river in Colorado and the body had been sent to his home in West Virginia for interment. Rev and Mrs McANALLY and daughter Marguerita, left Tuesday morning by motor to spend their vacation with their daughters, Mrs R.E. PENICK of Wichita Falls, and Mrs George LEE at Mexia, Texas. 13 aug 1926 J. Mack OYLER Jr born to Prof and Mrs J. Mack OYLER in Kiefer Sunday morning. Miss Martha WEAVER and Mr Joe HODGES, of this city, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, Mr & Mrs Jas WEAVER in this city last Thursday evening. The groom is the son of Mr & Mrs J.V. HODGES, north of town. Boynton will be their home. 29 aug 1926 Adeline, aged three years and one month, daughter of Mr & Mrs F. NAIFEH, died last Friday night. Ther funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, after which the remains were taken to Okmulgee for interment. Collins F. GABLE, aged 23 years, a teacher in Boynton Schools several years ago, died of meningitis in a Muskogee hospital Tuesday morning.
