Supposed to be buried Muskogee by MKT officials (see 15 nov 1888) 11 oct 1888 dead: Caddo, I.T., Joe SMITH, train accident. Was taken to Denison, Texas. He had just returned to Springfield, Missouri where he was married Sept 26th to Miss Lillie EMERTON, of that city. married: by Rev WILLIAM, 6th of Oct, Lewis NORDBERG to Lou DENBO, all of Catoosa, I.T. married: by Rev WILLIAMS, 27th of Sept, William ZYLKS to Jennie ROBINSON, all from the Monroe Settlement, south of Muskogee 18 oct 1888 obit: John R. MOORE, Creek Nation Treasurer obit: Volney CRUTSINGER, of Chamois, Missouri, on Saturday evening last. Entered the hospital of Sedalia. Was Muskogee's Superintendent of Stockyards. Wife and children went to be with him married: by Rev M.F. WILLIAMS on the 15 of Oct, Wiley B. WHITE to Mrs Adaline DANIELS, all of Pecan Creek Settlement. Dr A.S. CANTRELL, formerly of this city, was married on the 20th of last month to Lee UNDERWOOD, of Cleveland, Georgia 25 oct 1888 Friday morning, Ocotber 12th, Mrs MEAGHER, wife of T.F. MEAGHER, died. She is buried in the city cemetery Pleas PORTER, gave a memorial at the Creek Council for John R. MOORE, born in the old nation in 1834 and moved here in his 12th year. His mother died during his early childhood and his father one year after their arrival in this country. Also a shorter memorial for Frank GOODEN. Ridge H. HARLIN, son of J.A. HARLIN, has just returned from California. He has been gone several years and has come to visit "the old folks". 1 nov 1888 Missionaries married: Atoka, I.T., Wednesday, Oct 24th, George W. HICKS to Jane BALLEW, by Rev J.S. MURROW 8 nov 1888 baby girl born to William LAMB, Sunday last in Bacone. Edward NEAL died Thursday morning last. Son of S.W. and Mary R. NEAL. Employee of MKT. Died at Sedalia, but buried here at city cemetery "Capt Bill" W.H. ROGERS said he was born March 12, 1821. married: October 31st at the house of Robert HAWKINS, Miss Martha HAWKINS and T.W. MANUEL 15 nov 1888 Mr W.H. PHELPS, of Beaver City, Nebraska, came to find out the particulars of the death of C.L. SCOTT, young man killed by the cars at this place some six weeks ago. He is brother in law to SCOTT and will take the remains to Nebraska where his mother and sisters still reside. PHELPS intends to find the wife of Mr SCOTT and provide for her in case she needs assistance. 22 nov 1888 died: November 13th at the residence of Dr CALLAHAN of Consumption, Katie, infant daughter of W.B. & Katie D. ROGERS, age 18 months. 29 nov 1888 John HARRIS, son of R.B. HARRIS, is spending the winter at his uncle Joe HARRIS, and other relatives around Brushy Mountain. Four men were killed in Vian: George STARR, Jesse LANDRUM, Bude HENDERSON, & Isaac GURTEY. All were from Webbers Falls. Joe STARR managed to live through the shooting. 13 dec 1888 Married on Sunday last by Rev Theo F. BREWER, at the residence of the bride's parents, James A. KENNADY and Mary F. WEBSTER. Rev J.R. RAMSEY, of Wewoka Presbyterian School, passed through town enroute north to attend the estate of his deceased father, whose death occured lately at the ripe age of 94. 20 dec 1888 Died on Wednesday, Dec 12th, the infant child of Curtis PARSONS. "Of such is the Kingdon of Heaven." 3 jan 1889 Married on Sunday last by Rev M.F. WILLIAMS, F.W. BERGENSDORFF and Mrs Hannah BENSON
