    3. I wanted to write, I don't have much, but I wanted to tell you that the McAlester Newspaper microfilms are at the Public Library in McAlester. They have a wonderful library for a small town, yet it is the county seat. I'm just thinking that maybe there is some articles around that time. The area code for McAlester is 918, but I don't know the address or phone number, but I'm thinking they may be on PERSI which is a periodical link between libraries where you can get newspaper articles, magazine articles, etc. and you might be able to obtain any articles that way if you can't get to McAlester yourself. I don't know if they do look-ups or not. Also, I wish my great uncle was still alive, he was a guard at McAlester prison for many years and this sounds like a case that might "stick" in your mind. But, since the prisoner was a woman, he would not have been her guard. Just some thoughts! Take care and go safely!
