Joyce: I have access to a Spears family that Started out in Virginia, but then some of his family came to Oklahoma. My closest member of the Spears family was married to my Grandfather Roberts son John William Roberts born 1891 in Coal Co. I.T. He was married to Ezzie Mary Adelaide Elizabeth Jane Spears. (that is all her name) She was born in Tahlequah, I.T. (OK) 1890. My cousin has loaned this information so I don't know how long I will have it. And if this name rings a bell and you are interested in the rest of the information. I can scan it and send it out as attachments. There are several pages. According to the information I have it list the information as THE FAMILY OF SAMUEL SPEARS and they came from Virginia, moved to Elbert Co. Ga. during the 1790's and on to Bedford Co. Tennessee in 1819 then moved to Newton Co. Ar. during the Indian removal of 1838. Let me know if any of this rings a bell to you and you would like to have the information that I have.
