Morning everyone. I've transcribed/abstracted the Sep & Oct 1897 issues of the Ft. Gibson Post Newspaper and they now on-line. I've also abstracted the marriages noted in the paper and those are also on line now. Transcribing/Abstracting old newspapers on microfilm is a slow, tedious process so you have to bear with me as I work on this project. Hi, Linda, my greatgrand father George Washington Bush was killed in the Muskogee areas in 1899 buy a Robert Gentry that is said to have been his cousin, George was I/2 Indian and from MS he married a Scotches woman Georgann Naron Bush, they moved there from TX can you tell me what news papers there was back then would like to read about why he was shot have been told that he took a mule, and died a few days after he was shot, and that my great uncle Robert Bush saw it happen he was one of George children, have also heard he may have ran with outlaws?
