Oklahoma does NOT have a Death Index that is available to the public. Birth and Death records were not required until after Oklahoma became a state in 1907. Regarding ordering death certificates: The instructions list a valid legal photo ID. Will a simple xeroxed copy of my driver's license be sufficient? Thanks, Wanda
