    3. Oklahoma does NOT have a Death Index that is available to the public. Birth and Death records were not required until after Oklahoma became a state in 1907. Information on ordering Birth and Death Records in Oklahoma can be found at: http://www.health.state.ok.us/program/vital/brec.html These records are NOT kept by the counties. Sue in Muskogee

    3. Regarding ordering death certificates: The instructions list a valid legal photo ID. Will a simple xeroxed copy of my driver's license be sufficient? Thanks, Wanda
